EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT Our organization is a Canadian registered charity that was established in 2002 to act as the project proponent for the establishment of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. In this role, our organization is undertaking the planning, promotion, engagement and development activities for the Museum and is spearheading the private sector fundraising campaign, which will raise the private sector contribution to the Museum.
THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Assistant is a critical role which will provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to, managing a busy schedule of activities and appointments, screening incoming calls, preparing Board packages, minute-taking, crafting e-mails and letters as well as booking travel and creating itineraries. In addition, you will use a high degree of discretion to build and maintain interpersonal relationships and communication with the Board of Directors, Volunteers, Donors and internal staff.
THE CANDIDATE As the ideal candidate, you have experience in a fundraising setting, and a solid background in providing Administrative support at an Executive level. You possess the following knowledge, skills, and characteristics:
Ÿ 5+ years experience providing high-level administrative support in a complex environment;
Ÿ Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills;
Ÿ Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters appropriately;
Ÿ Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite; and
Ÿ Completed post-secondary education in a relevant discipline is preferred.
